SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani and Iraqi Parliamentary Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi on Tuesday stressed efforts to overcome the obstacles in the political process.
PUK’s Talabani and Halbousi carried out a meeting earlier today in Baghdad, where they highlighted Iraq’s general situation.
The pair also stressed understanding between the political forces, especially to pass the laws that have national implications and serve the public good.
In the meantime, PUK’s Talabani reiterated his party’s keenness for the political parties’ consensus, intensifying the efforts to resolve the issues and reach a positive result.
“Going back to the constitution, as well as real partnership, are key factors for the country’s stability,” Talabani said.
He also called on all sides to make steps toward overcoming the obstacles and stepping to implement the political agreements.
