SULAIMANI (ESTA) — An improvised explosive device (IED) hit a contractor convoy transferring logistical support for the Coalition forces in south of Baghdad, Iraqi media reported on Thursday.

The IED blew up as the convoy was passing by it in al-Yusufiyah district on Thursday, Shafaq news cited a security source as saying.

The attack damaged three vehicles, but caused no casualties, it added.

The attack is the latest in a series of attacks on convoys supplying the Coalition forces, training the Iraqi security forces to fight Islamic State (ISIS) militants in the country.

The United States blames Iran-backed militias for regular attacks on U.S. facilities and convoys in Iraq.
