KRG welcomes Iranian investors, companies: Deputy Prime Minister

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani on Thursday received the Iranian Consul General, Nasrollah Rashnoudi, in Erbil.

The pair discussed the latest political developments, including the bilateral relationships, the readout of the meeting released by Talabani’s office said.

They also stressed further enhancing the trade relations in the future, exchanging views on reorganizing the Kurdistan-Iran border gates.

“Both sides agreed on further coordination between the Iranian government and the KRG for the sake of economic interests,” the readout said.

“The KRG welcomes Iranian investors and companies,” Talabani said, according to the readout.

“We will offer necessary facilitations to the Iranian companies who seek to contribute to fostering Kurdistan economy,” he added.
