Turkey kills two Kurdish militants in Metina Region, says Ministry

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish Defense Ministry on Thursday announced that it had “neutralized” two militants of the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) in the Kurdistan Region.  

The terrorists were targeted in the Metina region in the Operation Claw-Lock zone,” a ministry statement said.

“Our heroic Turkish Armed Forces will continue to destroy the lairs of terror with determination,” it added.

Turkey uses “neutralize” term for targets who have been killed or wounded.

In April 2022, Turkey launched a new military campaign, targeting PKK positions, Dubbed Operation Claw-Lock, Ankara said that the offensive is a measure to prevent the PKK from using Iraq as a base to carry out attacks in Turkey.
