SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A senior Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) official said on Tuesday any media outlet that has been established by the party’s money would be returned to the PUK, after a security force entered a channel based in Sulaimani.

A security force in Sulaimani entered iPLUS channel, which is a new channel and has yet to begin broadcasting.

“The security force belonged to the secretariat and was tasked with the duty to ask the staff to leave the channel,” the senior PUK official told Esta Media Network.

“The channel’s ownership is PUK and it belongs to the PUK,” the official said. “Any channel or media outlet that is established by the PUK’s money will be returned to the PUK, and the step by the secretariat’s security force was in that framework.”
