SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region Government (KRG) Interior Ministry on Wednesday announced that it had opened 48 new stations for unlicensed firearms registrations.
Amid efforts to tackle gun crime and eliminate unlicensed firearms in the hand of citizens, the Interior Ministry called for registering unlicensed guns and firearms by July 21st.
It urged the citizens to commit to the announcement and visit the dedicated stations as soon as possible, and begin registering their guns and firearms without any fees.
Throughout recent years, the KRG has made several attempts to eradicate unlicensed guns as the Region witnessed a surge in gun crimes.
