SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Saturday received the spiritual leader of the Qadiri order in the world Sheikh Nahro Muhammad Al-Kasnazani in the Dabashan area of Sulaimani City.
The two sides discussed the Kurdistan Region’s situation, including the political developments, and stressed the unification of the national efforts to maintain stability and serve people, according to a statement released by Talabani’s press office.
During the meeting, Talabani highlighted the PUK’s efforts to deepen the spirit of harmony and coexistence.
“We should be proud of the Kurdistan Region’s multiculturalism and coexistence and further develop it,” Talabani said. “We can build a brighter future together.”
Talabani also hailed the spiritual leaders of the Qadiri order for their significant role in promoting the idea of moderation and improving the public good.
He called on the spiritual leaders of the Qadiri order to continue with the same spirit in order to give a brighter look to the Kurdistan Region.
