SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Bafel Talabani on Saturday announced “Green Line” call center to answer citizens’ requests and complaints or objections either living in the Kurdistan Region or abroad.

The “Green Line” call center aims to listen to any recommendations, suggestions, complaints and requests that the citizens hold regarding PUK’s organizational or governmental affairs, according to a statement released by Talabani’s press office.

“Any requests related to the party affairs will be overseen and investigated by a dedicated team of the PUK President,” The statement said.

It also added that “Any requests related to the government, will be submitted to the PUK governmental team as a recommendation.”

“There will be enough response for any cases.”

The statement further underscored that the “Green Line” directly operates under the auspices of Talabani.

“Green Line does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national or ethnic origin, political beliefs, to listen to the citizens’ requests and complaints or to investigate them.”

It noted that the “Green Line” call center’s working hours start from 8:00 a.m. till 12:00 a.m. seven days a week.

Green Line call number: 0535979

Last week, Talabani stated amid a press briefing that he had previously used to answer to answer citizens on his own phone in the evening hours every day.

“But my phone number went viral that is why I decided to open such a call center or a hotline,” He said.

“Anyone who wants to make a request or complaint will be answered does not require to be the PUK,” calling on citizens to not hesitate in making any requests or complaints.

“We accept every single call.”

He also added that they will answer calls related to bureaucracies’ failure in meeting citizens’ needs, emphasizing that the call center is non-partisan and far from any partisan affairs, according to his words.
