SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Wednesday discussed the latest political changes with the British Consul General in Erbil, Rosy Cave.
Talabani’s press office announced that he had welcomed the British diplomat in Sulaimani’s Dabashan area, and discussed the latest political changes in the region and steps to resolve the issues once and for all.
“President Talabani highlighted the achievements of national endeavors in promoting stability across multiple fields and emphasized the government’s commitment to serving the people,” it said.
“He emphasized the importance of collective collaboration and a shared national vision in attaining higher goals and ensuring a stable livelihood for our people,” it added.
Talabani and Cave also discussed the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region during the meeting, according to the press office.
“This issue has a national dimension and should be compromised with the parties, we firmly believe in resolving all issues through dialogue and understanding,” Talabani said regarding the elections.
