Sulaimani Security Forces seize 120 kilograms of narcotic drugs

SULAIMANI (ESTA) —  Directorate of Sulaimani Security Forces (Asayish) on Wednesday announced it had seized 120 kilograms of narcotic drugs as a result of multiple activities.   

It added that the security forces also arrested two drug dealers amid its efforts to eradicate illicit drugs that harm society and the state’s economy.

The drug dealers were arrested in the vicinity of Sulaimani city. They intended to trade with the seized drugs in both outside and inside the Kurdistan Region.

The offenders are currently held in the security forces’ custody with the investigations still underway.

The seized drugs include the following:

10 KG of Cocaine

75 KG of Methamphetamine

30 KG of Amphetamines

5 KG of Opium
