SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Region Security Forces (Asayish) on Tuesday announced the arrest of a suspect in Kalar southeast of Sulaimani province on terror-related charges.
The suspect was charged per Article 4 in terrorism laws. He had fled from the southern Iraqi province to Kalar to get rid of the law, according to a statement released by Asayish.
“After obtaining the determined judge’s consent, on May 9, the security forces of Garmian arrested the suspect,” it said.
It added that Asayish has passed the case to the Iraqi judiciary.
