Turkish intelligence hitmen escape justice via Erbil: press briefing

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish intelligence hitmen escape justice via Erbil after they complete their routine tasks by targeting pro-Kurdish Turkey dissidents in the Kurdistan Region, read a press briefing on Wednesday.

Musa Khalid, a representative for the refugees who fled from Turkey due to political reasons and resided in the Kurdistan Region, urged in a press briefing to be protected by the Kurdistan Region’s authorities.

Khalid’s words come as just recently, last Monday, Turkey’s pro-Kurdish Democratic Party (HDP) member was shot dead inside a shopping center in the city of Duhok.

Duhok police confirmed Monday’s victim was a fellow citizen from the North of Kurdistan in Turkey (Bakur).

Subsequently, the HDP on Tuesday claimed that the victim was one of its members and was shot seven times by Turkish intelligence spies.

“We very well know that the killer of our comrade is the AKP,  MHP, and the Erdogan regime,” a press briefing by the HDP read on Tuesday in the city of Erbil.

Khalid further stated that their colleague in Duhok has been “martyred because of political reasons.”

“More than four of our people have been martyred in the Kurdistan Region by the Turkish intelligence throughout the past two years and it’s weird that the suspects cannot be arrested,” He said.

“The Turkish intelligence hitmen escape justice and the Kurdistan Region via Erbil and return to Turkey continuously,” He added.

Khalid also rebuked the Kurdistan Region authorities for not taking serious steps to arrest the suspects, saying, “It’s shameful welcoming traitors while we are repatriating the body of one of our comrades from Duhok.”
