SULAIMANI (ESTA) — New COVID data suggest that after months of declining case rates, the number of people testing positive across the Kurdistan Region is sparking again, the deputy of the Region’s health ministry told Esta Media Network in a statement on Saturday.

Vaccination process of the citizens is still continuing, anybody who wants to travel abroad needs to have the vaccine certificate, even in some countries it required (PCR) tests, said deputy of health ministry Dr.Rahel Faraydoon in the statement.

New data indicates that testing positive for Covid-19 is on the rise again, “it has risen from %1 to %5” he said.

Last summer the number of cases rose again, COVID mutation and its contagiousness has nothing to do with the seasons but rather it is about receiving vaccines by people and abiding by the health instructions which are the main causes to prevent more infections, the deputy said.

Faraydoon further stated, “We had previously said that Covid-19 has not ended yet”.
