UAV crashes onto residential building in Erbil

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) which is owned by the Global Coalition crashed last night onto a residential building in Erbil.

The incident occurred at around 2100 local time on Tuesday in Seberian community, west of Erbil city.

No casualties were reported as result but material damages were.

The security forces rushed to the scene, retrieving the wreckage of the crashed UAV.

No photographs were allowed at the crash site, and the cause of the crash was not immediately clear.

Speculations were made about the UAV, saying it was in the midst of training.
