Iraqi agency says it had arrested suspect in Sulaimani on terrorism charges

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (ICTS) on Tuesday announced that it had arrested a suspect on terrorism charges in Sulaimani province.

“In coordination with the Kurdistan’s Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG), ICTS had conducted an operation in several different areas of Sulaimani,” it said in a statement.

“The operation had begun in Kirkuk, where a suspect had been arrested, then it stretched to Sulaimani province, resulting in arresting another suspect,” it added.

Moreover, ICTS added that it arrested six more suspects charged as per terrorism laws in the continuation of the operation in Baghdad, Erbil, Anbar, and Diyala, according to the statement.
