SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President received leader of the Kurdistan Socialist Democratic Party Mohammed Haji Mahmood in Sulaimani’s Dabashan.
In a meeting, the pair discussed the latest political developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, a statement released by Talabani’s office said.
They also stressed unifying the Kurdish house and addressing the problems through constructive dialogue.
The two sides discussed the Kurdistan Region parliament election, where both sides agreed to a hold free and fair election on time, matching the desires of all sides, the office added in the statement.
Talabani reiterated the PUK’s eagerness to address the problems, saying “The disagreements are not serving the Kurdistan Region situation.”
“Our steps must be in the direction of deepening harmony and offering further service to citizens,” he added, according to the statement.
