SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Head of Kurdistan’s Protection and Information/Information Agency Jalal Sheikh Naji Wednesday received Commander of the French forces in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region Colonel Buris along with his accompanying delegation.
In a meeting, enduring the intelligence and military ties between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as well as the coalition forces were stressed in the frame of preserving the “lofty” interests, stability, and tranquility in the Region, a readout said.
Moreover, during the meeting, the Kurdish intelligence official explained the efforts to combat the terrorists’ remnants and cooperation with Baghdad, the readout added.
“Providing security and tranquility is a continuous process and needs the support and coordination of all sides, particularly from our friends in the coalition forces,” Sheikh Naji said, according to the readout.
It also stated that Sheikh Naji demanded the coalition forces endure their support in order to “fulfill the lofty goals”.
Apart from this, Sheikh Naji thanked the French commander for his role in the past and bade farewell to him as the commander’s mission has been concluded.
