Kurdistan’s CTG, ICRC discuss commitment to principles of human rights

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Director of Kurdistan’s Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) received the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Kurdistan Region, Anna Halford as well as Basma Nazif, Head of the Committee’s team to visit prisons.

In a meeting, Halford thanked the general directorate of the CTG for its reception and readiness to discuss the humanitarian issues in the frame of the enacted international laws and commitment to principles of human rights including following up on several certain cases, according to a readout released by the CTG.

In the meantime, CTG director Wahab Halabjai expressed complete readiness to the ICRC delegation, reiterating CTG’s commitment to protecting the principles of human rights, the readout added.
