“We want all sides to take historical responsibility” President Talabani tells Shia leader Khazali

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Bafel Jalal Talabani met secretary-general of Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement Qais Khazali in Baghdad on Wednesday.

In a meeting with Shia leader Qais Khazali, the latest political changes and possibilities were discussed, emphasizing finding a suitable ground to build constructive dialogue in order to overcome the problems and escape the obstacles, Talabani’s media office in a statement said.

“Our goal is unity and harmony between the political parties. We want all sides to take the historical responsibility, and work to resolve the problems, trying to build a decent stable future for the people that deserve more service” President Talabani referred to PUK’s efforts amid the meeting, according to the statement.

Talabani who was in the Iraqi capital for a visit aimed at participating in a high-level meeting initiated by Prime Minister Mustafa on Wednesday, besides Khazali he met Head of State of law, Nouri al-Maliki, on the same day.
