SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) vowed to be the ever protector of the Kurdistan land, he said in a statement on Wednesday.
“We reaffirm our promise to always protect the peace and security of our beloved land,” said Talabani in the statement, adding “We will not allow anyone to disrupt the lives and stability of the people,” he said.
Talabani’s statement came on the 20th anniversary of the martyrdom of senior PUK military strugglers Shawkat Haji Mushir, Hikmat Haji Osman, and Sardar Ghafour Sleman, paying tribute on the anniversary.
