SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Talabani, on Thursday, met with representatives of Sulaimani investors, entrepreneurs, and businessmen, according to a statement.
The meeting discussed the status of Sulaimani’s market during which the PUK president said, “No one is allowed to meddle inside Sulaimani’s market,” read Talabani’s office in a statement.
Moreover, during the meeting, the representatives said, “A Political hand is meddling to destabilize Sulaimani’s market, publishing alleged rumors about money laundering in the city.”
“These rumors are baseless and failed attempts to impede the market.”
Moreover, Talabani reiterated his support for investors, entrepreneurs, and businessmen in Sulaimani, promising to prevent any issue that damages the market for the sake of flourishing and bolstering Kurdistan’s economic infrastructure, the statement added.
“No parties should dare to play with people’s lives and be a trouble maker,” Talabani stressed.
