Sulaimani Police arrest two suspects alleged of killing their brother

SULAIMANI (ESTA) —  Police on Thursday said it arrested two suspects in Sulaimani alleged of killing their brother.

A while back, on Monday, police discovered a body of a young man in Sulaimani’s Qaradagh district in the hinterlands of the area.

Reports of Sulaimani forensic medicine confirmed that the man has been choked to death. He has been reported missing since December 23rd of the last year, according to police.

“The deceased’s wife has filed a lawsuit against his brothers, numbering three persons,” police said in a statement.

After initiating investigations into the incident two of the deceased’s brothers were arrested while searching continues to find the third brother who is a ranking military official and lives in Erbil and allegedly involved in the crime scene, police added.

The Family had earlier witnessed similar scenes. In 2014, two brothers of the same family had been found dead in the southeast of Sulaimani near Arbat town.
