SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Sulaimani health on Thursday inaugurated a dedicated health center to handle the treatments of women and girls who have been incarcerated.
“Prisoners deserve better health service,” said Sabah Hawrami, the General Director of Sulaimani Health.
The center will be overseen by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, read a statement from the health directorate.
“The health center offers more deserving health treatment to the prisoners,” Hawrami added.
Hawrami further stated, however, there are some shortcomings in the inaugurated health center. He demanded a solution.
“The center suffers the lack of health workers,” and “We call a solution for them as soon as possible in order to offer more service,” Hawrami continued.
