Coronavirus among children is at peak in Sulaimani: health director

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The health director of Pediatric Hospital in Sulaimani said on Thursday that Coronavirus is spreading rapidly among children and warned the illness is heading to a peak.

In an exclusive statement director of Pediatric Hospital in Sulaimani Pshdar Abdulla told Esta Media Network, “Two weeks ago the risk of spiking the cases among children was declared”, and “now we are reached to the level that the illness heads to its peak”.

“A lot of children have caught Covid-19, and some of them have severe conditions. However, no cases have the danger of fatality” he said.

“Most of the Children who received by hospitals are infected with Covid. And part of them are suffering from Diarrhea and vomiting which is another different illness” he added.

Abdulla further said, he urges children above 12-year-old to get the Covid vaccine, and “those who suffer from chronic diseases follow complete self-protection”.
