SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President, Bafel Talabani, met with Iraqi President Latif Rashid on Saturday in Baghdad.
Talabani who is in the Iraqi capital met with President Rashid, discussing the latest political developments, a statement from Talabani’s office said.
The two sides also laid emphasis on unifying the national efforts for the sake of succeeding in the political process, protecting stability, and the government’s efforts to serve the people, the statement added.
Speaking on the “positive” efforts that have been made in the direction of the political, social, and economic stability of the country Talabani said, “We support any political party that aims to serve the country.”
Moreover, the office in the statement added that Talabani has also met with the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al Sudani.
