SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Head of President Mam Jalal’s Secretariat Office Qubad Talabani on Monday met with Salahadin Bahadin, the leader of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU).
Talabani visited the KIU leader in Erbil, where they discussed the political situation of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, said a statement from Talabani’s office.
In the meeting, the pair emphasized the importance of protecting the people’s rights as well as providing “better” service and resolving the issues, the office added.
Moreover, they also stressed “accurate” and “suitable” measures to improve people’s livelihood conditions.
The two officials have also laid emphasis on “unity” and “unanimity” in confronting the challenges, and settling the issues with the Federal Government in accordance to the constitution, according to the office.
