Hungarian President arrives in Kurdistan Region

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Hungarian President Katalin Novak arrived in the Kurdistan Region on Friday.

The President just landed in Erbil, marking the first-ever such a visit from a senior Hungarian official to the Region.

Esta Media Network has learned that the Hungarian official is set to conduct a series of meetings with the top Kurdish officials, discussing the bilateral ties.

She is also expected the pay a visit to the Hungarian forces that deployed in the Region as a part of the U.S.-led collation mission to defeat the Islamic State (ISIS).

It is worth mentioning that prior to Erbil Novak was in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, just a few hours ago,  where she met Iraqi President Latif Rashid.

The two President discussed strengthening the ties between the two countries, expanding their collaborations, according to Iraqi Media.
