Deputy Premier, Ambassador of Pakistan seek further cooperation

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Deputy of the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and Ambassador of Pakistan in Iraq Ahmed Amjad Ali met, discussing the bilateral relations and enhancing the ties, on Sunday.  

A statement from the Deputy Premier’s office said that Talabani received Ambassador Amjad Ali in Erbil, and the officials discussed steps to bolster the bilateral ties between the Kurdistan Region and Pakistan.

Discussions also focused on the Iraqi political process and its recent developments, Ambassador Amjad Ali wished that the new Iraqi government meet the people’s demands, according to the statement.

Moreover, the ways to enhance the relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Pakistani government were elaborated as well.

The officials expressed their wishes to cooperate in all fields, and together improve the KRG-Pakistan relations, the statement said.
