KDP, State Administration Coalition agree to reach agreement shortly

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Masoud Barzani and a delegation of the State Administration coalition met in Erbil.

KDP President Masoud discussed the next session of the Iraqi parliament and the election of the President of the republic with the delegation.

A proxy to the President of the KDP, Barzani’s headquarter in a statement revealed the content of the meeting.

“The political situation of Iraq, the negotiations that relevant to the next session of the parliament, appointing a figure for the President position and forming the new government were discussed,” it said.

All sides were convinced to reach an agreement before the Iraqi parliament hold its next session, the statement said.

“The participants of the meeting agreed to discuss this sensitive issue and reach a solution before the parliamentary meeting,” it added.
