PM Kadhdimi to go to U.S. to participate in work of UNGA 2022

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The spokesman for the Iraqi government on Monday announced that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi will go to the United States to participate in the work of the United Nations General Assembly.

Besides the participation of the Iraqi Foreign Minister, the state news agency cited Spokesman Hassan Nazim as saying that Prime Minister Kadhimi will take part in United Nations General Assembly in New York.

“Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi will go to the United States to participate in the work of the United Nations General Assembly at its 77th session,” Nazim said in a press conference and noted, that he will meet with high-ranking figures.

“Al-Kadhimi’s participation in the work of the United Nations General Assembly enhances Iraq’s international position,” the spokesman continued.

Earlier today the INA reported that Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein arrived in the United States, New York, to participate in the 77th session General Assembly of the United Nations.

The Next session of the U.N. General Assembly will be attended by more than 100 heads of state and more than 50 heads of government from all over the world.
