SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The President of the Kurdistan Region arrived in London on Sunday to attend the state funeral service of the late Queen Elizabeth II, a statement said.
Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani arrived in the British capital at the official invitation of the United Kingdom, the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region in a statement said.
Barzani will attend the state funeral service of the late Queen Elizabeth II. And he will later join a reception for world leaders during the two days of the ceremony in London.
Britain’s Monarch Queen Elizabeth II died Sept. 8 at the age of 96 after 70 years on the throne.
Monday has been declared a public holiday across the UK, and the funeral will be broadcast to a huge television audience and screened to crowds in parks and public spaces across the country.
World leaders will join Britain’s royal family, its political elite, and members of the military, judiciary, and charities at the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II on that day.
