KRG compensates health worker’s families who died in combating COVID-19

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will compensate the families of health workers who died amid combating the Coronavirus pandemic, according to an official document.

An official ministerial document seen by Esta Media Network on Tuesday showed that the KRG has decided to compensate the families of health workers who died due to COVID-19 amid combating the pandemic with an allowance.

The document was issued on September, 5, saying that each family will receive a 5 million Iraqi dinners (3400$) allowance.

The health officials said at least 89 health workers died because of COVD-19 in the line of duty fighting the pandemic.
