SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Minister of Foreign affairs in Iraq will visit Tehran on Monday, according to a spokesperson.
Spokesperson to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry Ahmad Sahaf said Minister Fuad Hussein will visit the Iranian capital to meet senior officials in Tehran.
Hussain’s visit to Tehran takes place amid a political crisis in Iraq triggered by a prolonged deadlock over government formation, Sahaf said that the Minister will discuss the region’s situation and Iraq, as well as the ties between both countries.
The minister will meet his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, “In the first meeting the Iraqi Foreign Minister will meet the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs” said Sahaf.
Part of the talks is related to the Iranian nuclear issue, according to Sahaf’s words.
