SULAIMANI (ESTA) — President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Bafel Jalal Talabani met the director of the Protection and Information/Information Agency, Kurdistan Security Agency, and the Chief of staff of Peshmerga 70 forces as well as the general directorate of the Kurdistan Region Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) and Kurdistan Commando forces on Sunday in the CTG headquarter in Sulaimani.
In the meeting the law enforcement steps and the execution of courts decisions to confront the outlaws and all of those who commit illegal acts and seized public properties such as lands, the latest security developments, and the Islamic State movements in the areas that have security vacuum were disused.
President Talabani pointed out the steps taken to enforce the law and confrontation the outlaws, saying “Do not tolerate anyone or discouraged against those who break the law and deal with public properties and land, no matter what title they have held, no one is allowed to use his/her position to break the law”.
“In the past few days, by detaining the outlaws you have once proven that no one is above the law, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to you,” Talabani told the military and security officials during the meeting.
Talabani’s meeting coincided with the International Day of remembrance and tribute to the victims of Terrorism, therefore he referred to the Kurdistan Region’s stability saying, “We will face terrorism in all manners and take tight security measures the Region’s stability is the red line and we will protect it at all costs ”.
