Two anti-Turkey attacks activists were detained in Erbil, their destinies unknown – reporter

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Destiny of two activists missing in Erbil after they participated in a rally against Turkey’s attack on the Kurdistan Region, Esta reporter said on Wednesday.

Earlier this week on Friday, dozens of activists intended to hold a rally against Turkey’s aggressions, particularly to take a stance on Duhok’s Parakh deadly bombing.

Yet, the rally did not start but the security forces in Erbil detained as many activists, some of them were shortly released and many are still held in jail and their destinies remained unclear up to this point.

Esta reporter in Erbil said activists Murad Sally and Hogr Pirbal were amongst the rally holders, on the same occasion their mobile phones were confiscated by Erbil’s security forces.

Later on Saturday, the activists received a call from the city’s security to get back their mobile phones, however, after visiting Erbil’s security forces office, they were detained and since then, their destinies remained unknown, according to the reporter.
