SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani released a statement concerning Sunday’s Islamic State fatal attacks.
ISIS militants carried out a series of fatal attacks, covering the provinces of Baghdad, Diyala, and Salahadin. Five were killed dozens were injured as the result.
“ISIS restrengthen and its movements with the expansion of attacks, are a serious threat on Iraq’s security and stability, it must be seriously taken into consideration and give a decisive response” Barzani in the statement said.
Barzani emphasized, that encountering ISIS threats, requires more efficient coordination between the Iraqi forces, including the army and the Peshmerga, and the institutions between Erbil and Baghdad, according to the statement.
“The International coalition to combat ISIS supports must be continued for Iraq as well as the Kurdistan Region,” he said.
“Iraq’s political, security situation desire cooperation from all of the Iraqi forces in order to pass the hardships, the complex political situation shall no longer be a reason to destabilize the country’s security and strengthening ISIS” Barzani continued.
