Two Iranian border guards were killed in Baneh border area – Military

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Two Iranian border guards were killed in an unclear incident on Wednesday on the Western border, the military confirmed.

The commander of border guards in Sanandaj said, in the morning, amid a confrontation of our forces with several unknown gunmen, “Two of our guards were killed” in Iran’s western border area of Baneh Kurdish province.

However, no groups have officially claimed the responsibility yet.

“The security forces have begun to investigate, so far the identities of the gunmen are unclear,” the commander said.
