SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Police on Wednesday clarified in a briefing after the house of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) leadership member Haji Masifi came undershooting on Monday, and resulted in the wounding of one of his guards.
In a press conference, Erbil police spokesman Hogr Aziz said, “The shooting incident was a personal-related issue not political”.
“There are investigations now and it took its legal procedures, whoever is the perpetrator will face prosecutions,” he said.
On Monday, House of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) leadership member Haji Masifi, was shot randomly in Erbil
Esta Media Network reporter had reported, “Masifi’s house has been shot randomly ”, adding “one of his guards wounded and plenty of bullets were fired at the house”.
The reporter further said, “The fires were opened at 2:00 a.m. local time”
Haji Masifi is a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan leadership, on Monday morning he spoke in a news conference explaining the incident noting, “Opening fire at a member of PUK leadership house is a big challenge and has big meaning as well”.
“This challenge is unacceptable, the bullets were fired at my bedroom and my guard house, I will wait on the security forces and courts to decide,” Masifi said.
