SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Health Authorities warned of a new wave of COVID-19 infection again in the Kurdistan Region, and the deputy of the Region’s Ministry of Health said on Sunday that all citizens must abide to wear masks in public places.
Deputy of the Region’s Ministry Rahel Faraydoon told Esta Media Network, that the COVID-19 cases have spiked again according to available data in the past few days, however, “the medical reports have shown that the symptoms are mostly mild”.
Regarding COVID vaccines Faraydoon noted, “All citizens must receive COVID vaccine shots, and those who already got two shots must get the third shot after six months because the vaccine losses its effectiveness most probably the will reinfect again”.
With the World Health Organization (WHO), we assess the situation and protection steps, nonetheless, “every citizen must wear a mask in public places and governmental institutions in order to avoid infections” Faraydoon added.
Earlier on June 18, new data indicated that testing positive for Covid-19 is on the rise again, “it has risen from %1 to %5” according to official data from the Region’s Health Ministry
