SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Late on Tuesday a rocket was landed at a residential complex in Sheikhan sub-district, Nineveh province, no casualties were reported, said the mayor.
“The rocket was landed on banquet hall in Sheikhan sub-district in which civilians are living around those neighborhoods”. Sheikhan’s mayor Sardar Yahiya told Esta Media Network in a statement.
No groups have claimed responsibility for the attack.
“The rocket was fired from Mosul, and investigations are ongoing” he added.
Rocket and drone attacks have become more frequent in recent months.
Many militant groups are operating in Iraq, including Kurdistan Region. they usually target the bases that host foreign troops.
