Earlier on Wednesday, hospitals in Sulaimani reported unexpected cases of diarrhea and vomiting, even though the health officials have previously warned of Cholera outbreak.
So far eight deaths were reported from Cholera in the city, according to the officials.
Cholera is a bacterial disease usually spread through contaminated water. Cholera causes severe diarrhea and dehydration. Left untreated, cholera can be fatal within hours, even in previously healthy people.
The infection is often mild or without symptoms, but can sometimes be severe and life-threatening.
The disease becomes more common during the hot seasons particularly summer in the Kurdistan Region due to high-temperature degrees.
