SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Two people were wounded after two explosions occurred in Baghdad on Sunday night, authorities said.
Baghdad Operations Commander Lieutenant-General Ahmed Salim said two explosive devices went off in the Karrada district in the Iraqi capital, according to the state news agency INA.
Two people were wounded in the explosion, Salim added.
Meanwhile, Iraq’s security media cell said in a tweet that the explosions targeted Cihan Bank near the national theater and Kurdistan Bank near al-Wathiq Sqaure.
The security forces launched an investigation into the explosions, it added.
“The two incidents resulted in the injury of two civilians with minor injuries,” it tweeted.
