SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Bafel Talabani on Monday met with Masoud Barzani, leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), in Erbil to discuss political developments.
Talabani and Barzani discussed the latest political, security and economic developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the region, according the Talabani’s office.
In a statement, Talabani’s office said they also discussed the participation of Kurds in the new Iraqi government and ways to confront political challenges.
They also stressed the national unity of Kurds and organization of efforts to solve issues and to serve people, the statement read.
“The importance of one Kurdish speech in Baghdad was considered as necessary,” Talabani’s office said.
The two leaders also stressed on a “joint national project” for all the political issues, according to the statement.
