SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Two people were killed in a Turkish drone strike in Kobane on Wednesday, Kurdish authorities in Syria said.
The Euphrates Region Executive Council said a Turkish drone targeted two civilian vehicles in Kobane city at around 3 p.m. local time.
The attack killed two people and wounded four others, the council said in a statement.
“We condemn this attack launched by the Turkish state,” the council added, holding Russia responsible for security and stability of the border areas between Syria and Turkey.
“Russia is the one that is responsible for protecting this region, and we believe that Russia is responsible for this attack,” it said.
Earlier, Kurdish media outlets in Syria reported that the strike targeted one vehicle outside the social judicial council in Kobane.
Hawar News Agency said there were three members of the judicial council among the wounded.
