SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), congratulated the historic victory of the University of Sulaimani and said, “It is the duty of all of us to support the universities to reach the level of international universities. It was an important step and we will serve them in the same spirit in the future.”.
Also, in his message, he mentioned that “the historic victory of the University of Sulaimani to obtain the first place in the ranking of universities in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region is a great pleasure and I heartily congratulate the president, teachers, staff and students of the mother university.”.
“It is our duty to support all universities in the Kurdistan Region to reach a higher level and achieve higher ranks and we support all teachers and students in any university in Kurdistan to together bring the education process and science to the level of international universities Let’s write pride for our Kurdistan,” Bafel Jalal Talabani said.
He said, “Our efforts in the past to serve students and improve the education process. It was an important step towards creating a favorable environment and fulfilling the wishes of our beloved students. We assure you that we will continue to serve you in the same spirit in the future.”.
According to the Times Higher Education rankings, University of Sulaimani ranked first among Iraqi universities.
P.D. Kosar Mohammed Ali, president of University of Sulaimani, said in a press conference that for the first time, as a Kurdish university in Iraq won the first place in the history of Iraqi and Kurdistan universities, which is an important achievement for Sulaimani University and the Kurdistan Region.
