SULAIMANI – (ESTA) The problem that has prevented Iraq from exporting oil from the Kurdistan region is being resolved, according to the oil minister, through discussions with foreign oil companies that operate in the region.
The return of production in the region’s fields is correlated with the exports produced in the Kurdistan region. Abdul-Ghani stated that negotiations are underway with companies with operations in the area in order to come to a quick conclusion.
According to Reuters, Iraq’s Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani told reporters today that his country is committed to following OPEC decisions and is also committed to producing no more than four million barrels per day (bpd) following its second voluntary cut announced in December.
According to him, Iraq currently exports between 3.35 million and 3.4 million barrels of crude oil per day.
