SULAIMANI – (ESTA) PUK president issued a message on the occasion of the second conference of the PUK Media Board and said, “Our media, both visual, written and audio, need serious self-examination and radical change. We know that we have a lot of pride in the past, but this alone is not enough and we must look to the future”.
Bafel Jalal Talabani, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) president, said in his message, “I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your efforts in the success of Kirkuk, our might and determinations list, and your unity in that province. Of course, you played an important and influential role in running the election campaign, and we are proud of you”.
In another part of his message, he added that “today the media in the world is facing continuous changes and developments; renewal and innovation are the main desire and duty of the media in order to adapt to the situation and keep pace with the demands of the people and professional conflicts. As we analyze and understand the situation of the media in the world, we must rewrite a new policy and strategy for the media with a new perspective, taking advantage of technological advances and adhering to the principles of journalism”.
He stressed that “you have all been hardworking and selfless pens of the PUK and have been brave voices in defending the PUK and the legitimate cause of our people. We are proud of all of you and are confident in your abilities and skills. I am sure that you will benefit from experts and academics at this conference, and together you will move towards a new media stage that meets the demands of the people.
