SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Ministry of Peshmerga of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has declared its intention to commence the disbursement of salaries for infantry brigades for the month of July on Monday.
The Ministry on Sunday confirmed that all requisite financial and accounting procedures have been duly completed to facilitate the distribution of salaries of the last part of its elements.
Monday marks the concluding day of the distribution of July salaries for the KRG public employees, while the commencement date for the distribution of August salaries remains uncertain.
Disputes between the KRG and the central government in Baghdad have resulted in the Kurdistan Region’s federal share in the Iraqi budget becoming a contentious issue, with both sides accusing each other of hindering the timely distribution of salaries in the Region.
