SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani extended his congratulations to Bafel Talabani on his reelection as the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on Tuesday.
Sudani expressed his good wishes to Talabani and the leadership council, members, and supporters of the PUK, hoping to continue the national work in the same spirit of the late President Mam Jalal.
Sudani made these remarks during an event in Baghdad commemorating Mam Jalal’s passing on October 3, 2017.
Talabani was reelected as the President of the PUK last Wednesday after the party held its fifth congress in Sulaimani.
