SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani sent a congratulatory message to the twelfth-grade students on Monday for succeeding in the ministerial exams.

The Kurdistan Region’s ministerial exams kicked off on June 3 and concluded a week ago.

Over 117,000 students have participated in the process for the scientific, literary, and vocational schools to be able to enter universities.

The Ministry of Education released the results of the exams, including the name of the top-ranking students across the Region.

The first, second, and third-ranking top students were from Sulaimani City.

PUK’s Talabani released a congratulatory message, highlighting the significant role that students and teachers play in society.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the lovely students who successfully passed the twelfth-grade and made another step closer to their goals,” he said.

“Salute to the top-ranking students.”

“We will not forget the role and position of the teachers who have always been concerned about education and teaching an innovative and vibrant generation at every stage,” he added.

In the meantime, Talabani reaffirmed his support for the education sector and Kurdish students, stressing his commitments, according to the message.

“I have been very close with you in the past and we will further serve you in the future,” he said.

“You are the biggest wealth of this nation, there will be no bright future without you,” Talabani told students and teachers.
